At Earth and Ocean we pride ourselves on sourcing the highest quality pure essential oils and natural raw materials. In adhering to our mission of keeping things pure and simple we use several ingredients in almost all of our products because of their amazing emollient properties and fantastic nourishing abilities that work on all skin types. These key ingredients include:

Rosehip Oil is high in vitamin C which helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles by improving the skin's overall firmness.  The vitamin A components found in rosehip oil helps to reduce the signs of aging.  Antioxidants are also naturally found in rosehip oil which help to protect the skin against sun damage and can help reduce the negative effects of UV exposure.  Making rosehip even more attractive for use and one of the reasons we use it so frequently is that it also helps to fight and prevent acne because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.   

Shea Butter is naturally rich in vitamins A and B as well as having an abundance of fatty acids make this an ideal butter to use in order to moisturize and soften the skin.  Shea also helps to increase the skins natural collagen production which strengthens the skin so that the skin maintains its smoothness and elasticity.

Our last highlighted key ingredient is Cocoa Butter.  Naturally high in Vitamin E, antioxidants, and fatty acids cocoa butter helps to hydrate and soothe the skin.  The fatty acids in cocoa butter help to form a protective layer on the skin that prevents moisture from escaping, and stops the skin from drying out.  Because of the rich moisturizing properties found in cocoa butter it is also used to help treat skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis as it alleviates itching and facilitates the skin to heal faster.
